EDI-X^® is a comprehensive, scalable, adaptable and cost effective new generation eBusiness system

Using advanced Client-Server architecture, the EDI-X^® System is capable of efficiently managing the interchange of business trading documents by a variety of methods.

Initially designed for the Automotive Manufacturing, Automotive Aftermarket, Retail Supply and Distribution, and Manufacturing sectors, the System will accommodate Electronic Trading Document users from small suppliers to large manufacturing hubs.

The experience gained from many years working with eBusiness technologies and considerable time in research, planning, development and testing have gone into the project.

The heart of the system is the EDI eXchange Server. Incorporating a Document Interchange Management Service, being essentially a bureau service where all User Configuration, Trading Partner information, Document Translation, Interchange routines and Data Management are centrally managed. This provides the ability to have reliable and seamless end to end transactions.

The main Client solution is a Microsoft Windows desktop eBusiness document management and messaging application called X-Trader. It presents a familiar user-friendly 'Outlook' style interface to simplify the task of processing trading documents. Intelligent forms assist the user to quickly and efficiently enter data aided by auto-fill defaults and comprehensive validation. All documents can be managed, sorted, previewed, printed or forwarded on to Trading Partners as standard EDI data via the EDI Trading Network, direct to another
EDI-X^® enabled site, by email as an attachment or fax. Data can easily exported to an external application such as a spreadsheet for further processing.

X-Trader can be configured as a stand-alone or networked application and can be easily integrated with existing Business Systems using a data transformation module.

Trading Communities can also take advantage of the EDI-X^® System. With the EDI-eXchange acting as a centralised Document Interchange Management and Communications Service, structured trading documents can be easily exchanged between trading partners. EDI-X^® provides a formal, efficient, managed and cost effective means to enable an eBusiness network for any type of Trading Community.

The EDI-X^® System web portal provides users with access to detailed account and session information.

Further development is on-going and will be driven primarily in response to customer feedback.
